Barrage

Yesterday we went on a boat around Cardiff bay and the man showed us some sites from dr who. We saw where the zorbalpf episode was filmed - in big blue warehouses - and where the man who wrote dr who lives - next to our hotel.

We saw the barrage and watched two boats go through. We also stood on a yellow cross and saw a paintin that was on the barrage Walls - it was of yellow circles!

We walked back to the mermaid quay and on the way played in a pirate ship playground and saw some displays about coal. I learnt boys only one year older than me worked alone in the dark underground for 12 hours a day in the olden days!

The walk back was very tiring and AJ George and I went to the cinema to see Shorts while the others went tithe welsh assembly, playbus and swimming.

We had dinner at a resturant called Salt. Not pepper!

Boy castle

After dr who we got on an open top bus. We listened to a lady tell us about Cardiff as we sat on he top and then we got off at the castle.

At the castle we did lots of running about he battlements and climbed to the top if a tower. We also saw rooms in a bug house and did a quiz looking fir animals in paintings and on decorations.

Zill and George got bows and arrows. Cosi and I got swords with the money grandpa gave us - thank you grandpa.

In the evening we went swimming again and George swam me around on his back!

Dogs day out

Took Byron to a dog day in Suffolk yesterday. It was a long drive and no Zill cos she gone to stay with AJ!

When we got there he played with lots of other dogs and lots of people made a fuss of him. Mum and dad chatted to their friends too but they woulnt swap cosi for their lovely dog lola which was a bit annoying.

Byron slept lots - other dogs tried to win rossettes and three woods danced for us!

The road Leeds to Kent

On Friday we went to Leeds castle with lara, torrin, cat & alex.

We had a picnic, went inside the big house (and did a quiz), and played in lots of trees & an adventure area.

Was great day but strangely not in Yorkshire but Kent!

Where's the fat controller?

Cosi went to school on Monday but mum took us on the Bluebell Railway.

We rode in a thomasike steam train and even got out at one station and had ice cream.

We didn't see the fat controller but there were a few thin ones!

Wood u like a sarnie?

It the circle of life. The wheel of academia

It's my last day in reception today. Very exciting as Mum made me start this blog to record my experiences at school. She is, of course, very much older now than she was at the beginning and it will be interesting to see what she has learned...

More later :-)

London Bridge is full of sheep

I missed ballet today to go to London with Mum and Cosmic.

We went to see Granny walking a sheep across London Bridge for its 800th anniversary. Granny was allowed to walk a sheep because she has the freedom of the city - which means she is important!

After watching the sheep we saw the Lord Mayor and went to some of the stalls set up on the bridge. Cosmic and I made candles and watched a man make a wooden tool with a special old fashioned machine.

We had lunch with AJ and Jules in Borough Market. We ate fish and chips and Mum made me put my balloon laser gun away cos i was pointing it in George's face and being a total pain!

Nothing to report

I got my report on Friday.

The teachers wrote lots of lovely things about me and Mum said I was still on track to be an evil dictator with the gift of the gab. Not sure what this means but as i am good at Maths, have a very vivid imagination & have lots of general knowledge I guess it is something that requires these skills.

I wrote a bit at the end of my report about how I think my year in reception has been. I said one of my favourite bits was having a picnic when we went on a trip to the woods. I remember it was very nice!

Busy bee

So sorry i have been offline for so long - the last week has been a bit taken over with Byron.

He is lots of trouble and bites my feet. He also eats all my clothes and chases the cats. But i love him and am going to take him to dog school so he starts to behave.

Reception and yrs 1 &2 did games in the morning and the juniors were in the afternoon.

There were eight teams - two from each house - and each team was divided into two lines. Zill and I were in the same team but different lines - except for the last activity when the lines were mixed up!

We don't know which house won yet but zill and I hope it was unicorns!

Mum, Sarah and cosi all came to watch and cheered us on.

Commandments according to Derbs

We had to think of important rules in school council today. I thought of two:

1. Do not bite
2. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.

They were written in our school council book and everyone seemed to like them.

I just have to work on 8 more and people will worship me - not as a false idol though, they'd be nothing false about me at all!

Ppppppick up a penguin

Karate again tonight and we did a penguin dance.

Each time the penguin made a noise we had to do a punch ... then at the end we did a head block.

You really got my goat

And this is what we found when we got to the Goat Centre ....

You'll really get my goat

We are off to look at goats today for Zara's birthday ....

We were going to go to see some grumpy goats in fields in Rye BUT Mum found a goat centre in Buckinghamshire where Zara could actually touch the goats and learn about different breeds.

Auntie Paul, Moo and Kai have made sandwiches and we are just packing up our stuff now ....

I'll tell you all about it later.

Tired

I slept over at georges last night and am very tired.

Can't fall asleep though as on way to see animals at the kingussie wildlife park.

Reindeer tuesday

We went to see the reindeer today up a mountain.

My reindeer Ushcia was there and the lady let me feed her by myself. She has quite big antlers and quite a brown face. Her friend bean pooed on me.

Zill's reindeer is called lilibet. We didn't see her because she was very high up in the mountains. She has had a baby who is brown and White. He was born around zills birthday!

Cosis reindeer is called dillon. He is at the farm which is a long way away.

I love the reindeer!

Lots of salmon leaping...

We were going back to AJs lodge for lunch but mum got lost and we ended up on the wrong road! We stopped and AJ suggested we kept going to pitlochry for something to eat.

It was quite a drive but we had lunch at the theatre there then saw the hydro electric dam.

We also saw slalmon ladders which are tunnels and pools which help the fish swim upstream to have babies.

Dad was at home working but he came swimming with us at the end if the day and then we had dinner at the hotel.

Zill stated the night with George -my turn tomorrow.

Rode and rode until we were horse

We went riding on Monday morning. Zill and u were led even though we had ridden before and George hadn't.

My horse was called blue and was White. Zills was brown and called bracken and georges was brown too and called millie.

I smiled all the time but did get a little horse sick at the end.

Sunday afternoon

We had lunch at loch insh and played in the sand.

No rain - bungee gain

It was set this morning so mum took us to explore hotel and have a go on the bungee trampolines. I did liars of back flips it was great.

George and zill went on quad bikes and cos and I went on the donuts - we pushed ourselves down the slope and the others pulled us too.

The journey

We drove up to aviemore all in one go on Saturday and still arrived before AJ and George!

They couldn't get into their lodge until sunday so they had dinner and stayed thx night with us.

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

We went to soft play and then to Aventure Island in Southend.

It was a bit wet and windy but we had so much fun on all the rides.

I couldn't go on the really big roller coasters because you needed a blue wristband and i only had a green one but there were so many rides it didn't matter.

I went on the Pharoahs Fury ride twice with Pete and Jake - it was so cool. And Dad and I went on the dodgems and bashed into Ruth & Zill and Pete and Jake.

We went on to the beach but it was so windy that we gave up and headed to a cafe with a view instead!

Boris

We stayed the night with Ruth, Pete, Jess and Jake. They live in Essex with a cat who Dad used to live with too when he was at college. The cat is called Spider and only has three legs.

They also have a lizard who eats crickets alive and a small tortoise. Oh. And Boris.

Boris is an Italian Spinone dog. I love Boris. He is white with orange splodges and eats poo and pig ears.

After Ruth made us yummy spaghetti, we played and went to bed very late. We slept in Jake's room and Jake and I made up lots of baddies and guns games.

After breakfast on Sunday we took Boris for a walk in the woods before our day out. He ate horse poo and talked to other dogs.

Saturday Swap-Shop

There was so much swapping about on Saturday from car to house to car to different house ....

After Zilly finished Stagecoach we jumped in the car and went to Allie and Simon's house. A few people were there incl. Adam, Lorna, Karl, Marty and Sophie.

When we were driving away to go to Ruth and Pete's house we also saw Anna arriving! I still haven't met James and was a bit cross not to have said hello.

At Allie and Simon's Cosi and I played with guns in helmets and Simon tried to show Zilly and I how to juggle. We also ate yummy cakes that Allie had made.

Simon and his friend drink beer in his garden shed and call it a pub. We were playing in there and Mum told us off for being annoying. Me - annoying? I think not.

Hardest word

Sorry for not blogging for a while.

I had a cough earlier in the week and was off school and then this weekend has been really busy.

I am going to blog all about it now ....

Mum also saw two whippets (well one was a lurcher actually). She would love a whippet called Herb. I want a choc lab called Lumpi - I think we are going to have a golden retriever called Pigweird (if Dad gets to choose) or Twinkle/ Honey ) if Zill gets involved!

Mum has just helped me register him and learn all about him at www.testtubealiens.com.

He is called Takon and he is:

Cunning and deceptive
Can cast a hypnoray from his eyes to hypnotize his prey from a distance
And can kill at close range from his poison glands
The cleverest of all the evil aliens
He led the rebellion and was the brains behind the coup
He was once apprentice to Tatsuni

Dad is helping me hatch him now.

I'll put up a picture later on and maybe show you zillyan's old one and new one too.

Chocolate in the lab

I want a chocolate lab.

Mum says they are not really made of chocolate and we can have a golden chocolate retriever instead.

Zilly would like a King Charles Spaniel. Mum says she is a Republican so it might not be appropriate. Then she thought about it and said perhaps it would be appropriate after all ....

Someone explain?

Soon I am not going to kiss Mum anymore.

I am going to give all my kisses to the Dog.

Monsters AND Aliens

Mum and Zillyan went to London today as mum had to do something woth someone she calls Darling. She says he has to budge it. I bet he won't.

So dad took us to play with Lara and Cat-Cat made us a roast chicken lunch. Yum.

Then we went to see Monsters vs Aliens at the Capitol. It was a really good film as it made Cosmic jump everytime things flew out of the screen. It was quite sad at the end though, because I wanted the Aliens to win.

Saturday, 18 April 2009

Don't let the pigeon ....

We went to see Don't let the Pigeon stay up late at the theatre today. I went dressed as a bee because I had to come straight from my ballet show rehearsal.

It was really good. Two people pretended to be the pigeon and the bus driver and they acted out the stories of Don't Let the Pigeon ... stay up late, drive the bus and wants to eat a hot dog.

We were all hungry after the theatre and as we had been doing the hotdog party dance with the pigeon we thought we'd go to Moos so she could make us veggie sausages in buns. They were yummy.

Dog and the V-E-T

We had a chilled day today playing games, watching TV and visiting Grandma and Grandpa.

In the late afternoon Cosi, Zill and I went to the vet with Mum, Annie and Dog. I carried Dog in his basket and helped the vet examine both the animals.

Annie has had all her injections now and doesn't need to go back to the vet for at least 6 months. Dog has to go back though - on Thursday. He has to have an operation on his teeth because they are rotten. He obviously doesn't brush them enough.

Scwewy Wabbit

Cosi went to school today for the first time. Mum went to to settle him in and Sarah took us to the library to make cards.

In the afternoon we played in the garden with Cat and Torrin .... and the rabbits. They are very very cute but also very naughty. When Mum said "don't eat the rhubarb leaves" they ignored her and ate the rhubarb leaves. Then they wouldn't sit on the garden naughty step - they just hopped off!

The 80's

We went to Great Uncle Brian's eightieth birthday party today.

AJ didn't feel well so she stayed at home and Dad looked after her.

We drove along lots of very narrow roads to get there.  George had the sat-nav but we all thought it was taking us on a funny route.

All Mummy and AJ's family were at the party, except Grandad.  We ate lunch and I helped Great uncle Brian blow out his candles.  Then I took cousin Helen's handbag and everyone chased me around the party to try and get it back.

When we got home I took Grandpa to My allotment to show him what I am growing.

Happy birthday Grandad

Us at Nymans

Pictures

Easter at Nymans

Everyone except Dad went to Nymans for Easter Sunday.

We ate sandwiches and did the Easter Egg trail. We had to find lots of different cardboard eggs around the gardens - lift them up and reveal a picture. Then we drew that picture onto our special sheet. When we did them all we handed them in and got given a chocolate egg!

We also went into the wild garden. Jules found it on the map and we had nevr been there before. We played with big sticks and it was very muddy!

Panini Paul

Mum and Zill went up to london to see dead bodies with Moo and Za.

We stayed at home then went into town with George and Auntie Paul, Kai and Amy.

We saw posh cars and Auntie Paul bought us flat toastie sandwiches.

Speed-dating worms

We took Jules to the allotment today to see the things we are growing.

While she and Mum planted sprouts, purple sprouting broccoli and berlotti beans, George, Cosmic and I picked up lots of worms and tried to find them friends in the soil.

Good Woof-day

Went to look at dogs today. There was a big brown one and a yellow furry one.

Mum and I liked the yellow one and Dad and George liked the brown one. Cosmic kept changing his mind!

The lady said our family would probably suit a yellow one best so Mum and Dad gave her our names. The yellow one is going to have puppies near my birthdy time and we will be able to choose one to live with us - yay!

Wednesday, 8 April 2009

Happy Birthday AJ!

It is Aunty Jules' birthday...

Speed-dating bunnies

After Shoreham we raced back home to collect Anastasia. Mum and Dad put her in a cat box and we drove to a house in Sutton - on the way to Grandma's house.

There were lots and lots of bunnies at the house. Mum took Annie out of her box and put her in a pen. Then we looked at lots of other rabbits and tried to decide who Annie might like as a new friend.

We liked a bunny called Tommy. He was very big but could still have babies so may accidently hurt Annie. Dad then saw a very very large white rabbit called Donald. The lady said Donald is a French Lop and she let Dad put him in the pen with Annie.

Annie and Donald really liked each other and when we left there were two bunnies in our cat box. Donald was so big his bum hang out the front of the box and he put his long ear around Annie while we drove.

On the way home we went via Uncle Zal, Moo and Grandma/pa's houses to show them our new rabbit. Donald is the same type of rabbit as their old bunny, Byron. When she first saw Donald, she thought he was a rug! Dad thinks he looks like a bad Ood...

I'm flying ... soaring ....

I am wearing my new pig-warmers. Grandma and Grandpa bought them for me in America.

Iron Man is a new superhero to me but I like him very much.

Easter Shoreham

Comodore & seeds

Zill didn't have Stagecoach today so she went to soccatots with Mum and Cosi. I went dancing and we had a rehearsal with costumes!

Afterwards we went to lunch with Grandma and Grandpa. They took us to a restaurant in town called the Cpomodore. We ate pizza.

In the afternoon Mum planted seeds which we chose in Wilkos. We helped. She planted lots incl cucumbers, melons, tomatos, squash and pumpkins. I don't like pumpkins but i chose them and planted the seeds.

He is not coming to school with Zill and I. He is staying with Cosmic.

Auntie Jules isn't very well - that is why he is here. It is really fun to have him about.

Get well soon AJ.

Blow those eggs

We blew eggs and painted them over the weekend. We took them into school yesterday and today they are going to be displayed.

Dad blew the eggs and we painted them. Mine had goggley eyes and Zillyan had a cotton wool chick coming out of hers.

This is how you blow eggs - Mum found this video on YouTube.

The Onion

Today Mum and I planted onions, shallots, garlic, carrots, spinach and broad beans on the allotment.

We also met the man from the end allotment. He is called Ian and we met his wife Anne too. He does his allotment with his brother and he has planted loads of stuff already.

Ian used his rotovator on Geoff's allotment. Geoff is the man whi gave half his allotment to us. He is old now and not very well. He finds his allotment very hard work.

We also put down some chicken poo and got wet in the rain.

We got home and had a bath then William cam over for a sleepover. We all watched Robin Hood then went to bed in my room.

French numberjacks on their way

Eliza told the class that we do Fench Club today. The teachers said wow and we stood at the front of the class ready to count to ten in French.

Then Cassie said she could count in French too and the three of us said all the numbers from un to dix.

All raqbbits then clapped us .... even Mrs Etherington and Mrs Harris.

Tooth Fairy ...

... came last night.

She took my bottom front tooth from under my ;pillow and left two pound coins wrapped up in tissue paper.

The tooth fell out while I was brushing my teeth - just like the first one.

Mum says there is already one grown behind the tooth that fell out but she can't be sure how big it is because i won't open my mouth properly.

Zal the Easter Bunny

Unlce Zal has just pretened to be the Easter Bunny.

We were very nice to him and Auntie Moo was his helper and gave out big chocolate eggs.

YUM!

Happy Navroz

We celebrated the new year today at Auntie moo's house. Grandma and Grandpa are in America but Uncle Zal and Laila came and we had a big lunch and opened presents.

Grandma and Grandpa gave me a really cool planet mobile and the other grownups gave me a light for my bed and a science book (so I will understand Dad's comment from my blog entry the other day!).

We also had a chocolate egg hunt in the garden.

Good work assembly

Zill and I both had our asseblys yesterday and Mum and Dad watched both.

Mine was in the morning. We sang London's burning but Mr Sexton did not turn up so we had to sing without any piano or musical help!

The teacher's then showed our Mums and Dads pictures of some of us working at school. They saw slides from when the police came to talk to us and when 2 dads came in -one is a fireman and Luka's Dad is a paramedic in London!

The parents also saw slides from Grandparents Day.

After my assembly Dad came into my classroom to read with me and some of my friends. I was really happy.

George met a scientist who lives next door to him. The scientist taught him a science thing .... if you rub a ruler in your hair then put it next to a slowly running tap the water falls diagnolly.

We tried it and its true. Dad says it is due to our hair being electric and something called static electricity.

This science trick is very very cool.

How clean is your school?

Park fun too

Dig the allotment

"Higher Mum slave"

Before I went to Edward's party we went to the park.

Zill went on her bike, Cosi went on his tricycle and I scooted.

Zill cycled into town with Dad to buy wellies while the rest of us fed the ducks and played in the park.

We were all wearing our new reflective jackets. This is Cos and I swinging - "higher Mum slave".

The Red Nose Gang

Bugsy

Recovering today after a very late night last night.

We all went to see Bugsy Malone. It was at Zara's school and Kai directed it with his old drama teacher.

We sat at a table and dressed up as people from 85 years ago! I wore Mum's black shirt and Dad's pale pink tie. The girls all had headbands and feather boas.

Whenver someone was shot they got squirted in shaving foam. Lots of people were shot and even we got covered in shaving foam.

It was fab.

Alloted an allotment

Blue is the colour

Another great read ... Mum said. I only needed help with words "Mosque" and "couldn't".

I hope Mrs Etherington will make me a blue stickers person soon.

Pets

I have to read every night. When I have read the person who listened to me - usually Mum and Dad - writes in my reading diary.

Then when I get to school I move myself up the reading ladder. When you get to the top you get a present then start again at the bottom.

I read a yellow sticker book tonight to Mum called Pets and Mum said I was "word perfect". This is very good.

Hre is the book:

Pets by Jennifer Beck

I had a frog. It jumped out of its bowl.

I had a mouse. It ran back in its hole.

I had a fish. It ate too much.

I had a rabbit. It got out of its hutch.

I had a parrot. It flw out the door.

I wanted a dog ...

but Mum said, "No more!"

Perhaps I rad so well because of what the story was about. I like animals.

Name that bunny in one - new poll

I've put up a new poll. It is about rabbit names because we have a rabbit.

We may get another rabit in a couple of months too because the rabbit welfare lady Mummy went to see says bunnies don't like being on their own.

I wonder what we would call another rabbit? I suppose it may come with a name already - like Anastasia.

Let's bowl let's bowl .. let's rock an' roll

It is Lara's birthday weekend with her Dad and Cat Cat and we all went bowling in Brighton it was really fun.

There were lots of us there - let me try and remember .... Teresa (Cat's Mum),Chris, Victoria, Tony, Poppy, Charlotte and her boyfriend, Rob (Rosses friend) and his daughters Lola and Piper, Lara, Cat, Alex and all of us.

Then we went for dinner at Frankie and Bennies - just like last year - and i had fish and chips. It is so cool - they sang happy birhday to Lara and played Conratulations - i love that song!

Character poll results

Here are the results for the poll i put up just after we went to Disneyland.

Which Disney character would you most like to cuddle?

Chip
- 3 (50%)

Dale - 0 (0%) - he was my favourite - i should have voted myself!

Pluto - 1 (16%)

Mickey Mouse - 0 (0%)

Minnie Mouse - 0 (0%)

Tigger - 1 (16%)

Other - 1 (16%)

Only 6 people voted ... boo hoo and why no votes for Dale? Do better next time folks.

Happy World Book Day

HAPPY WORLD BOOK DAY!

I went to school in my sith pyjamas today and my blue dressing gown.

I took Allie and two of my favourite books -

"Don't let the pigeon drive the bus" by Mo Willems (read his blog here)and "Mustard, Custard, Grumble Belly and Gravy" poems by Michael Rosen.

Zill took in "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" which I also really like.

My Uncle Zal

Oh wow - Uncle Zal is following me.

Hello Uncle Zal.

Welcome to my blog. Uncle Zal has a flickr page that is really cool.

I am going to be a cameraman like Uncle Zal when I am older.

Bed now as it is really late.

Words and books. Books and words.

Yesterday I was sent to Mr Goodall. I had to show him my writing. He gave me a sticker and I was very proud. I showed Mum and Dad the writing and the sticker when I got home.

Tomorrow is world book day and I have to go into school in my pyjamas. Mum looked for a new pair for me as she was in Oxford Street today. She didn't find any but she bought Zill and I home some mitens that are way to big for us. Think i will wear my Star Wars pair ... and perhaps the mittens as accessories.

I also have to take in my favourite book. I am still deciding what that is going to be ..... what would you guys take in?

Rabbit Rescue Rangers

Dad got home from work. He made us stop eating our tea and get on pyjamas and dressing downs. Then we all got in the car.

We drove to the pet shop and collected Anastasia the rabbit. Then we went to tesco to buy rope and Mtt's house to collect him.

We all went to another house and Matt and Dad planned to tie a large rabbit hutch onto the top of our car.

Before they could start trying the man who made the hutch offered to bring it to his house in his Wimbledon High School van.

Anastasia is now in the study in a dog crate filled with straw. It is too cold and dark for her to go to her hutch tonight.

Lots of people were involved in the Rabbit Rescue Rangers team .... so thank yous and medal are awarded to -

- Us for finding Anastasia
- Catherine Briffett for finding a hutch on freecycle
- CatCat for buying all Anastasia's food, bedding, toys and water bottle
- Matt for helpiong sort out how to get the hutch home
- Man with a van for the rabbit hutch and for brining it to our house.

Greater spotter tree

Nymans Gardens today with the Everingtons.

We walked through the woods which we have never done before. t was really good fun and really muddy. I got my wellie stuck in the mud and Mum had to pull it out.

Zill and I did a quiz looking for different types of leaves and flowers. I took loads of pictures like this one of an interesting tree.

On the way home we looked went to the pet shop to buy cat food. They have a section at the back for animals which have been dumped and need rehoming. We stroked a rabbit called Anastasia. Mum asked lots of questions .. mmmmmmm.

Pulling parsnips

We found loads of parsnips in our garden this afternoon.

They have been there since last year. Mum didn't pull them out because she thought they were dead but they weren't.

Some of them were very small. Mum says this is because she didn't "thin" them properly and they were too close together without room to grow.

A few of them were really big though. Mum rang her friend Linda and she said they may taste a bit woody but would be great for soup.

I don't like soup but i'm going to help Mum or Dad make it anyway.

After digging up the parsnips I planted my herbs. Father Christmas gave me them. I put lots of compost in a pot and then watered it and left it for half and hour.

Then I took out these matchsticks and stuck them in the pot. The matchsticks had seeds on the end.

Zill, Cos and I also helped Mum empty the old pots and turn over the soil in the veg patch. Dad burnt some of the garden rubbish.

We were really hungry after our gardening and had fish and chips for tea. We also watched Matilda on DVD. Mum read us the story a while ago and the film was really good. We knew what was going to happen.

Mrs Trunchball looked like I thought she would. Matilda didn't. They had American accents too but they didn't when Mum read the book.

Best recipe for pancakes:

5oz plain flour
4 eggs
7 fl oz milk

and butter in the saucepan to stop them sticking.

Dad made us all pancakes tonight. Dippers was here and he had a go at tossing and eating.

I had syrup and spinkles on mine. Zill ate heres plain - my sister is weird.

All other things Disney

Disneystudios

Parades and shows

We saw the Disney parade twice.

The first time we stood by the enterence here all the characters come out and the second time we stood next to the enterence to Adventureland just near the castle.

It was really cool. There was lots of different music and some of the characters were walking and came and touched us. The Princesses and their Princes also got down from their carriages and walked about.

We saw charcters we didn't see walking round the park and even saw Pooh who seemed really rare even though we saw Tigger and Eeyore ... no Piglet to be found though.

We also went to a show called Buffallo Bill's Wild West show on our first night. We ate dinner and watched cowboys riding horses and talking to cows. Mum didn't like it but we enjoyed hitting out knives and forks on our plates and waving our cowboy hats up and down.

All the audience were divided into colours. We were yellow and had a yellow band on our hat. Our cowboys were very good. We should have won but green did.

I wanted to put more pictures on this blog but 5 was the most it would let me do. You can see the rest on flickr ... let me know if Mum or me need to give you access to our pictures.

Characters

This is Dale. He is my favourite character and Zill and I met him first in the park. Zillyan spotted him a long way off and he was at the enterance to Adventureland.

She has met him before when she came to Disneyland 3 years ago. Her favourite character is Chip - Dale's friend.

Cosmic's favourite character could have been Pluto. At first he was wary of all the characters but by the end he was chasig some of them and kissed Pluto, Chip and Mickey Mouse on the nose.

We all had autograph books and managed to get 25 different characters to sign our books. We also had pictures with Eeyore and the Monsters Inc monster who could not sign our books because of their big paws.

We met the characters in the parks, at breakfast in our hotel and in the restaurants. In one restaurant - the Auberge de Cendrillon we met lots of princesses, one Prnce (Philip) and Cinderalla's mice (Perla and Suzy).

Here is a list of all the people who signed our books - Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Scrooge McDuck, Pluto, Goofy, Chip, Dale, White Rabbit, Friar Tuck, Robin Hood (Cosi got this one for us because we were on a ride and he was waiting for us in the studios), Penguin (from Mary Poppins), Tigger, Captain Hook, Gapetto, Pinocchio, Buzz, Jesse, Prince Philip, Belle, Aurura, Snow White, Cinderella, Perla, Suzy and Baloo.

Main Street

Discoveryland

Fantasyland

Adventureland

Adventureland was next to Frontierland and Fantasyland.

It is at the top left of the park.

We explored a lot and the caves and tunnels were really cool.

Things we went on:

Adventure Isle - "We went into lots of secret caves and tunnels inclusing one that took us inside the skull built into a "mountain face". Zill and I also ran across a suspension bridge.

Le Cabane des Robinson (The Swiss Family Treehouse) - Zill, Cos, Mum and I climbed to the top of this really big tree while Dad went on Space Mountain. We were too small to go on Space Mountain and it said you should be at least 10.

Le Passage Enchanté d'Aladdin (Aladdin's Enchanted Passage) - We went round this display and saw Aladdin on his magic carpet and the lamp in a glass case.

Pirates of the Caribbean - This was the coolest ride in this part of the park and the best thing in Adventureland. It wasn' a roller coaster but we sat in little boats and went fast at times. We saw loads of scary pirate stuff and it was quite dark. Mum sat with Cosmic and he didn't cry.

We also had dinner next to the Pirate Ship ride on the second night. We watched all the people in the boats go past us and we shouted to them. They waved back.

The restaurant is called the Blue Lagoon and the waiter tried to give Cosmic pureed carot. When Mum complained they tried to give him a toddler meal made of real life duck. Mum got cross and they made him green beans and potatoes!

Zill and I had tomato pasta. The food wasn't that nice but the scenery was cool and it was fun to sit right next to the ride!

There was another ride in this area called Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. i really wanted to do this but I was too small. Dad went on it and said it was really good but quite short.

Next time we come to Adventureland I bet I am big enough.

Frontierland

Frontierland is full of guns and big hats. All the shops look like they are made of wood and sell rifles and leather stuff.

I liked this land because it had my faavourite ride in it.

Things we went on:

Legends of the Wild West - this is a playarea at the enterance of the land.

Big Thunder Mountain - this was such a cool runaway train. It was my favourite ride. We did it twice although Cosmic and Mum did not go on it because Cosi is too short and would have been scared.
Dad took a video of me on it and I will post this soon. I cannot fit it on this entry because it is so long.

Phantom Manor - Zill and I went on this with Mum while Dad stayed with an asleep Cosi. I was a bit scared in the bit before we got on the ride because you get put in a lift and you feel yourself going down and the pictures on the walls going up. It also went very dark.

Zill and I both wanted to get on a cart with Mum to go round the house but as there was only two in a cart Mum went by herself and Zill and I went together. I held Zilly's hand and it was fun!

Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing - We got on a boat here called the Molly Brown . Mum said it was like a big old fashioned American boat. Dad and I had a row and I got told off.

We also had tea in Frontierland on the last day at The Lucky Nugget Saloon. The cakes weren't that nice but we met laods of characters including a few we had not seen before like Captain Hook and Geppetto (who i think is rare).

Sal's the birthday girl

Thurs - Sat - George was staying and we all slept in Zill's room. On Friday we went to see Joyce which was cool and we fed the ducks in Maidenhead by the river.

On Saturday there was no dancing so we had a lazy morning. AJ and George went at lunchtime and we went to the park with Lara in the afternoon.

Today was cinema day - Bolt in 3D .... really cool. Really really cool.

Thursday, 19 February 2009

I'm back ...

It was great - we met loads of characters, went on loads of scary rides and I lost my first tooth.

I am tired and grumpy this morning as we got back very late last night but i will blog all about it later on.

I will also updte flickr as I took loads of pictures and videos.

AJ and George coming to play later - yay!

Dancing makes me hungry

I have just eaten all my dinner without wingeing or mucking about.

Should I be concerned that Mum's just passed out from the shock?

Derbie Disco Diva

Just got back from the school disco and I am shattered. Lying on sofa watching space pirates.

Disco fab. I danced with Owen and Jack B-M and Max. We danced to Mamma Mia and other songs in the big hall.

Halfway through dancing we had crisps for a snack and orange squash. Some people had blackcurrant squash or water.

Register

Following on from yesterday's entry I chose William to come with me to deliver the register this morning.

I chose Alesha this afternoon.

Tiger who came to tea

We went to see this at the Capitol yesterday. Sarah took Zill, Cosi and I and lots of others came - Gail, Emily, Oliver, Trudie, Ocean and Charlotte.

It was really good. There was a giant tiger and he ate all the buns and drank all Daddy's beer. Daddy was really rather upset about it all.

More special rabbits

Max was the special person yesterday and chose me to go with him, in the morning, to Mr Goodall with the register.

I am going to be the special person tomorrow. I think I am going to chose Max to go with me in the morning and go on my own in the afternoon. You are allowed to go on your own. Really. Truly.

I might change my mind though. I will tell you.

I don't do just squat anymore.

I do through-squats.

Alcina is 5

And I went to her birthday party at he Pavilions.

Dad took me and Trudie bought me home. Trudie stayed for the whole party because parents could stay if they helped.

We had a great time and Alcina seemed to really enjoy herself. William was there but Max, Owen and the 2 Jacks weren't.

The party bag was fab. It was homemade and had my name on. Zilly said she wants party bags like that for her birthday but then she said she wasn't going to have party bags.

I don't get my sister.

Les Animaux

Animal themed day today ...

1. We learnt about animals at French club ... we learnt to say penguin and sheep in French and many others too .....

2. I have decided I am going to be an Animal Man when i am a grown up. I am going to take animals to show people in schools and things and teach them all about them. The people will not be allowed to hold the snakes or skunk though and they will not be allowed to squash the beetles.

3. I am tired and in a bad mood. Mum and Dad tried to cheer me up by reading Fat Cat (James Sage). I am not cheered up. They are fat pigs.

Winston Wolf's Reading Challenge

I completed this challenge for the second time today.

Every day you can move up a special chart if you have read the night before. Each day on the chart is a book cover and when you get to the top you get a prize.

Last time I got a sharpener. Today I got a magic painting book. Thank you Mrs Etherington and Mrs Harris.

Oh and before I forget you'll never beleive it but William has finished his reading diary already. I am not even halfway through and I read most nights! Mum says William probably reads lots and his Mum and Dad must have big handwriting!

Really good at singing man ...

... this is what I'd be called if I was a rock star. And this is what I'd look like.

Hair cut 100

Well 1 actually.

Mum took me to the hairdressers. My hairdresser was caled Hayley. It was my first time.

I wanted my hair cut because I don't want to wear it up anymore. Everyone thinks I am a girl. Mum says they are silly but I am fed up.
Grandma paid for my haircut. Thank you Grandma.

My hair is now exactly on my shoulders so I shouldn't have to wear it up.
I think I look like a rock star now. I made Mum take lots of pictures.

Good work assembly

We did assembly today.

We told the whole school the story of Harry and the Robots. Adn the assembly began with the music to Dr Who.

Some people pretended to be robots and Sadie, Joe and Lauren dressed up with robot tummies.

I was part of the phot story and even had a line to say. I said "That's how you control stuff".

Snow tweet

Check out Mum's picture of our garden. She took it while I was at gymnastics and Zill was at the doctor having her sore ear examined.

Mum put this photo on twitter.

It has stopped snowing here now but there is still lots of snow on the ground and our teachers said that it will be very icy tomorrow so we have to be careful.

Mrs King day

Mrs King took assembly today and we also saw her when all of rabbits were walking to the woods in the snow.

She told us all we had great wellie boots.

Dad loves Mrs King. He wants to kiss her.

School's out

Gym now but NO SCHOOL TOMORROW.

Practice for the playground

But before we head off ... just one snowball?
