Easy like Sunday morning & afternoon ...

or not!

Tennis this morning. Double lesson. 2 points off coming second in our mini tournament.

Afternoon - bike ride. West Grinstead to Partridge Green - 5 miles. Dog, Mum and Dad on foot / paw!

We stopped half way for a drink and chips to recharge the batteries and give us time to think how to squeeze all of us - plus bikes and extra mud - back into car for the journey home!

I was back too late to blog this last night but look who I met!

I went to see him playing his cello at the Capitol Theatre in Horsham. Kay was there with lots of other students.

He played without music and one piece was very strange and made Dad and I laugh.

He was awesome and I had a great time.

Wishing Auntie P 'Happy Birthday' at his birthday tea ...

Clarkies

We arrived at the Clarksons house about 9 o'clock and had sandwiches and played until bed ( it was a late night!). Alex showed me dungeons and dragons and his war hammer stuff like orcs.

I slept in Alex's room with Cosmic and Zilly was in with Kizzy.

On Sunday we went to this awesome farm adventure park. We played on the outdoor games, indoor soft play for big kids too and go-karts.

We also saw the animals and I went on a tractor ride with Mum and Cosmic.

Alex, the grown ups and I played a great new card game called Blaggard which we all want to get now too!

We had curry takeaway in the evening and a big veggie brunch on Mobday before we left to come home. I also played on the x-box with Alex!

From mega to giga ...

Such a busy bank holiday so sorry I didn't blog earlier.

I went to the chess Megafinal on Saturday. There were hundreds (thousands?) of kids there from across Sussex. Everyone had qualified through their schools or clubs and there were children of all ages.

I came 3rd in my age group. The boy who won was the best under9 in Susaex - he got 5.5 points out of 6. The boy who came second and me both got 5 points but he came second because of the points left on the board during his games - it is a bit like goal difference I think.

My 5 points mean I have qualified to play in the gigafinal in Reading in July - a day before we go in holiday. Mum says it is really lucky she booked the tickets for the Sunday not Saturday! Amardip qualified too and we are friend's again now after our argument about Spurs versus Arsenal.

After the final we raced home. Cosi had been at a party and Zilly had had the usual day of Stagecoach and piano and we were heading to Burton that afternoon/evening to see the Clarksons ...
