Mr Menuhin School cello day

Last day of half term and I went to the cello day at the Yehudi Menuhin School.

I played in the cello clinic - Mum took some videos which she wasn't meant to - I will try and get her to post them on YouTube. The French teacher helped me with my bow handgrip (Kay told her before she heard me!), fingering and the dynamics of my piece.

It was a lovely day and we ate out packed lunches outside. Ten we ward some of the pupils playing. They were awesome. Max played Bach cello suite - he is only 12 and was really good. Kay heard him play when he was 7 and said he played like a grown up then. Then we watched three of the pupils have a lesson in front a famous cellist. One of them was Eva from Spain and the teacher made her look at her handshake and play with more power. I liked Kamal. He played twice and played Elgar in his lesson.

Mum took this picture of him but had to do it in secret so it is a bit rubbish!

Chess by the sea

It was the second to last chess Grand Prix on Saturday in Eastbourne. Mum took me and Cosmic came to. Dad went to Wembley to see Zilly sing 'Voice in a Million'.

We arrived early and had to set up the boards. I scored 3 points buy Amardip won the under 8s trophy because although we had the same points he had higher progressives.

TGIF

Sal came to see us on Friday and we went to Pizza Express. I also had a cello lesson with Kay and decided to play Chase in the Dark at the Yehudi Menuhin School on Sunday. Chess with Bob and dinner at Moo's to end the day...

NHM

I can't believe half term is over - it went so quickly! On Tuesday dad took Cosmic and I to the Natural History Museum (mum went to a Gallery in Chichester with Zill and her friend Charlotte).

It was so cool and I took loads of pictures on my 3ds.

We saw the dinosaurs and I took a video. Cosmic was scared. We also went to see all yr animals and fossils. The blue whale skeleton was huge! We also went to the Darwin Centre and up the escalators, through the world to all the stuff about earthquakes.

My favourite bit was the stones. I loved looking at them all and Dad bought me an orange agate to bring home.

Today

So today was: 1. Sally's birthday - happy birthday Sal!!! 2 The first day of halfterm - and after getting up at lunchtime, Mum took us to Southwater Country Park for a picnic and play. Zill did not come because she was having a strop.

I climbed all the way up to a 'birds' nest' at the top of the climbing frame. It was especially scary coming down but I did it.

YouTube Video

I loved the rope wire too buy did not love falling off.

William Francis is 8

William's birthday party yesterday was immense. I especially liked the ripe swings. It was in his garden and his dad drove us around on a boat on the back of an engine! We toasted marshmallows on a fire and when Dad, Mum Zill and Cos came to collect me, they played too.

Thank you for incoming me William!

Sushi school

After spending the night with George, Mum and Dad collected me and we went to the Southbank. We had breakfast at Giraffe and then went to sushi school.

I made lots of Maki - seaweed filled with rice, cucumber/ avocado and seeds.

We got to take home all the such we made.

FMF

We performed Fantastic Mr Fox at school last week before we broke up for halfterm. Lots of people came to watch it - Grandma, Auntie Moo, Amy, Zara, Auntie Jules, George, Mum, Dad, Zill and Cosmic. Guess who I was?
