Garden of Eden

After visiting the biodomes we had lunch. We had already had strawberries in the Mediterranean dome but were still hungry! Mummy gave the food and cafe 9/10. I gave it 8/10 but gave the food less as I have had better cheese and chutney sandwiches.

We played bamboo chess in the rainforest biodome but went to play more games in the Poo Tent.

Cosmic and I did a poo obstacle
Course. In the tunnels people threw pretend poo at us in a rugby ball shape. I won by one second. Cosi said he won - what do you think?

Zilly pretended to be a sticky seed dressed in a Velcro suit.

We looked at things under a microscope. If you press your thumb against a stinging nettle then the acid comes all out and when you brush it giants your arm it will just feel like a leaf.

My family and other animals

We spent yesterday afternoon in the otter park.

We saw white peacocks and we stroked an owl. We learnt that you can tell if an owl is nocturnal by the colour of its eyes. We also fed deer and birds.

Cosmic wants to tell you the deer at dad, Mine and his paper bag too!

We saw otters being fed - some of them were British otters and some of them were from other countries. Some of the otters were being made better to go back into the wild.

We watched Dr Who in the evening and made pizzas. We also played boule in Grandad's garden but Zilly cheated so we are going to play again when Mum and Dad can supervise.

We listened to a brass band and walked around the town. It was great fun!

Church and ice cream

After looking round Tintagel castle we went to the church. We lit a candle for Grandma then we went out and looked at the graveyard. Someone was just buried at Christmas.

We then went to the village and bought rock for my friends and ate mint chic chip ice cream.

Then we drove to Padstow for dinner because I wanted fish and chips!

Time for lunch

Mine's a cheese and onion pasty.

The Arthurian Centre

We have just been to this centre and seen the legendary site of Arthur and Mordred's last battle.

We made brass rubbings and then went to see Arthur's stone which had his name carved on it. On the way we had to find seven grails before the time run out or we got trapped. Well, maybe not, but we had to find a letter on each of them.

We found then all except number 4 but Mum guessed the letters made Galahad so Cosi, Zilly and I were given a lolly.

Start of our holiday

We travelled to Cornwall yesterday.

First we stopped at Moo's for a scone breakfast then we drove down.

The house was very cold when we arrived so we snuggled under blankets!

Zillyan & Zara's Birthday Party

Today Zillyan and Zara had their joint birthday party. It was a roller disco at Oakwood Sports Centre.

Me? I was Zevon No-Skates:

But then again, so was Cosmic...

And I was lucky 'cos Sebbie and Nick had their Gladiator Party in the next room!

Gladiator parties are better than roller discos.

Party time

Today it was my sister's birthday party and it was my friends sebbie and nick's.

My friends birthday party was just before zillyan's. It was in the same place. The rooms were right opposite each other. The party was fun and we played dodge ball and went in obstacle courses. I go round the course in 20 seconds!

I could not skate at Zillyan's party because of my arm but I had another lunch! Zillyan shared he party with our cousin Zara and our other cousins George, Alfie and Amy were there too! Our friend William came all the Kent too.

Jack's House

On Friday I went to my friend Jack's house for a sleepover.

We watched the film Despicable Me and played the x-box.

I came back on Saturday and I went to cello and Stagecoach. I am writing a piece of music for my cello - it is on the D and A strings.

Poll results 2 May 2011

Here are the results of my blog poll from last week.

There were 6 answers.

Which would you rather break ...

right arm 2 votes
left arm 2 votes
right leg 1 votes
left leg 2 votes

So it was 3-way draw but the fewest people wanted to break a right leg.

I am going to put up a new poll on what colour cast you would rather have. This is because my friend Ohwo has broken his arm this weekend too.

Otters get married

Zilly and I saw about these otters on Newsround. They had their own Royal Wedding in a sanctuary in Scotland.

We have been to this sanctuary before and taken photos of the seals and otters. But we haven't seen either of these two otters.

Luka

Today I went to Luka's house.

When I got there i played some football we did 240 passes to each other. We then played a proper match. It was 6 - 2 to me.

Then we went in to play with our pokemon cards. I won one battle and Luka won one battle.

I helped Luka get on another level on Mario Bros on the wii then we had lunch.

After lunch we played some chess. I won all the matches even though Grandma wasn't there. (please see my earlier post).

Greenwich

Today we went to Greenwich to see Granny, Auntie Jules and our cousins.

I had fish and chips for lunch and we met the King of Buttons (Mum says he was called a Pearly King). We also saw his car which was a London cab covered in stickers and buttons.

Then we went to the National Maritime Museum and saw toy ships, the Queen's boat and an explorer called Franklin's boots.

After that we went climbed a giant hill. I walked down it because of my arm but George ran down. Cosmic walked with Auntie Jules and Zillyan stayed with Granny and my baby cousin, Alfie. I wanted to run down but Mum was too bossy.

At the top of the hill was the Royal Observatory. Inside we saw all about our solar system and different ones and stars. Once the sun blows up it will probably blow up the whole solar system.

The Tempest

Saturday 30th April 2011
Granny bought tickets to see The Tempest (written by Shakespeare) at the Angel puppet theatre in Islington. Mum, Zilly and I went with Granny.

The play was with actors and puppets and a seagull landed on my head at the beginning of the story.

This is what the Tempest is about:

A maid (girl) and her Father lived on an island.

The maid thought her and her Dad were the only humans on the island and they lived in a cave.

Her Father was magic.

He had a servant called Ariel who was good. Ariel was invisible to all eyes except for the Father.

The Father made Ariel create a storm called a tempest so he could make a boat crash. Some of the people on the boat were bad. The Father used to be the Duke of Milan but his brother and the King of Naples stole the Dukedom and stuck him on a boat with his daughter. This is why they lived in a cave on the island. These men were the bad men on the boat.

Ariel captured the King of Naples son who was also on the boat. The Maid falled in love with him. The Father made the Prince do lots of hard work to show he loved her.

Then Ariel captured the King of Naples an his brother. He brought them to the cave and the Dad made them give them give back his Dukedom.

They said sorry and they all went back to Naples. The Prince and Maid got married and Ariel was set free.

There was also a bad monster on the island but in the end he was good. The monster puppet was vey funny.

You will be wondering why Dad and Cosmic were not there? They went to play music with Billy Bragg. Cosmic took his ukelele and Dad took his guitar.

When the play was finished we went to the Royal Festival Hall to meet Dad and Cosmic and some other people. I coloured in our friend Tim's head with yellow highlighter pen.
