Father Christmas in Iraq

School finishes and the adventure begins...
How amazing is this.
First Mum took Dad, Zill, Cosi and I to see The Christmas Dr Who.
Before it started a man said we aren't allowed to tell anyone the story but is is awesome.
Then Mum took us into television centre and had our pics taken with Doctor Who ...

Then Mum took us to see the newsroom and we bumped into the man who writes Doctor Who...

Then we saw the real Dr Who going into the loo. We caught up with him in the street and had our picture taken ...

What a day! I have just tweeted the writer @Steven_moffatt who we met to say thank you for making an awesome Doctor Who.

Performance of the week?
This week has been a whirlwind.
I did my Lamda exam on Tuesday. It was fun and I think I did well. I get the results in a few weeks.
On Friday Mum collected me early from school and took me to my cello exam. He had to hurry me along at school because I was in a chess competition. I won 2 out of 3 games and and was Captain of the C team!
The cello exam was at Rosemary's - she is the lady who plays the piano. We had a practice and I was awful but I did much better in the real thing.
On Saturday I had my last cello
Lesson before Christmas and then played a revolutionary and poor person in Les Mis at stagecoach. It was my last play as I am giving up so I have more time for chess training and competitions.
I also found out my cello result. I got 83 percent and a merit! I was very pleased but next time I need to get 4 more points and then I will get a distinction. Kay, Mum and Dad were all very pleased for me too.
Sunday was chess training and the Christmas party. I ate veggie hotdogs with lots of onions. My friend Kinshuk was there but in a different group from me. The others took Byron to a spinone Christmas party.

Busy week - day 1
Thought it was my karate grading today but luckily it is next week!
It was my cello run through though. I played the pieces with Rosemary who is playing piano for my exam on Friday.
It went well but Mum says I need to practice Stinkbomb some more to get the timing right.
Dad is in Barcelona this week with Grandpa. If you are reading this Dad and Grandpa 'how are you doing? Night!'.

Leah's birthday

We went to Leah's third birthday today.
Mum used the satnav on her phone and took us to The Grove - a weird pub in Muswell Hill. We should have been at soft play in Ally Pally.
We laughed a lot and Dad shouted at Mum.
We eventually arrived and had time to play, eat and see Leah blowing out her candles.

Then we looked around Ally Pally. We saw the BBC tower, ice rink and view of London.
Saturday
I came third in my chess competition today!!!!
There weren't enough trophies so Mr Tuck is going to bring mine to school on Wednesday.
At first I thought I was second - the. I thought I was fourth and hadn't won a trophy - then I realised it was a tie and I had come third - only 1/2 point in it!
Afterwards I went to laserhub for Bradley's birthday and the. To see Gareth and Vicky at Vicky's parents house near us. They bought me awesome Dr Who presents and a jumper - thank you!!
I wanted Gareth to play me at chess but he said he would have to practice first. I am going to let him as he still wont beat me. Haha.

Friday

We walked Byron on Worthing Beach on Friday with Mum, Steph and Byron's best friend Millie the Dalmation.

We went to see the fish man and I chose Plaice for tea - Dad and Cosi cooked it later after zill had been to fireworks and when I was back from chess!
Steph bought us fish and chips for lunch and I watched football in her flat. She like Tottenham and football and we talked lots!
Thursday 3

After the gallery we crossed the wobbly bridge which wasn't that wobbly and went to St Paul's.

We went to the front and saw Tent City and all the protestors who are angry with the banks and big companies.

There was man shouting about God, people in masks and lots of banners.
( will add video when blogger is working !)
This is what it looked like.
Thursday 2
(video to follow when blogger
Is working properly)
This was me in one of the galleries. We also saw cubism, surrealism, futurism and lots of different types of art and sculpture. We saw some surrealist and Picasso pictures with naked ladies too!

Thursday
Mum had the day of again on Thursday and we went up to London. Zill and I wanted to go to an art gallery and we chose the Tate Modern.

We arrived into London Bridge and walked through Borough Market. We found somewhere selling goat's cheese and took this picture for Dad because he wants to keep pygmy goats. This makes Grandma cross but i think it is an awesome idea.

We also walked past Shakespeare's Globe theatre on the way to the gallery.

When we got there we went to the huge Turbine Hall. Tacita Dean had made a video exhibition and we sat and watched it for a while then ate our lunch on the steps there.

We then went to the different galleries. I liked this Andy Warhol picture.

And this pop art picture.

And these weird red stairs!

And this Monet picture which made me pleased because I like Monet and have drawn one of his paintings at school.

Still on halfterm...

And yesterday Mum had the day off and took us to Warnham Nature Reserve.

I asked if we could go into the sheep field and it was so cool - we got really close. They were rare, black and big horned.

We also went round the reserve looking for the numbered points and disturbed the same man in 3 bird watching hides!

Granny, Moo, Mum and Dad watched.
We also played pool and air hockey.
Then we all went to Frankie and Benny's for dinner with Grandma and Grandpa.
After dinner the restaurant bought out a football cake for me and the music played "Congratulations" which made everyone laugh lots.

Party for being 8 day

It was my birthday party day. I had an archaeology party.

We dig things up and painted finds.

Dad made my cake. It was Stonehenge, Roman mosaics, tombstones and snakes.
My Copthorne friends, Jack BM and family ( incl Torrin and William) sang happy birthday to me and we all screamed when I cut the cake.

Busy busy

Summer holiday
Totally behind in my blog from summer but it was all so busy - cropredy was great - and I will try and post some more photos from there ever though they will be out of date order.

Zill and I went to Mum's work and then went out with Sally for
Lunch on the South Bank. We ate candy floss and played some fair games too. We also saw sandart which was awesome and lots of beach huts by the Thames.

Zill and I went to Chessington with Elizabeth and Elliot - it was so cool. We went on loads of really great rides like Dragon Fury, Dragon Falls, Cobra and Tomb Blaster. Elliot's Mum ad Dad took us and really spoiled us.

We also went to Bodiam Castle with Mum and Dad. Zilly was in a very bad mood. Cosmic and I played paintball and even though the stairs to the top f the castle towers were a bit scary I still climbed them.

80th birthday party
We had Grandad's 80th birthday party at our house today.

All our relatives were here - Grandad, Great Uncle Brian, Great Aunt Marguerite and lots of Mummy's cousins and their children. Grandpa, grandpa and the Everingtons came too and Moo and Zara made an awesome cake.

I played by 3rd cousin Georgie at chess and made her agree tona draw after playing for ages.

This is Grandad and I at the party. I think he had a lovely time.
Two for chess

I won a medal at a chess competition yesterday for being the best 7 yr old and I was only 1 point off a trophy.

George came too and he won a medal for being a first timer.
Dad came with us but the others got food for Grandad's 80th birthday party.
In the evening I read my second to last book with Mummy and Zilly and George read their books too. Zara is reading hers at her house.

Zara's 7
Here are the seven books Zara is reading for our East Africa readathon. She gave Zill the titles and authors over the phone so we may have got some a little wrong. Oophs!
Midsummer Night Dream - Shakespeare
The killer underpants - Michael Laurence
Casper Prince of Cats - Michael Morpurgo
Fairy gold - Queenie Rees
Princess for hire - Linsey Leavits
Mr Stink - David Walliams
Little Darling - Jacqueline Wilson

She finished Wimpy Kid yesterday and is reading the Fart powder one today because she keeps asking us what accent we think Dr Proctor should have!
Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Jeff Kinney
Spy Dog 2 - Andrew Cope
G'day Sydney - Hannah Montana novel
The Twits - Roald Dahl
The Village Dinosaur - Phyllis Arkle
Mr Gum and the biscuit billionaire - Andy Stanton
Doctor Proctors Fart Powder - Jo Nesbo

Spacemutts and Spacerace
I finished Spacemutts yesterday. It was good and it was like The film Cats and Dogs.
My favourite character was the dog Rocket - he was the leader of the SpaceMutts.
I also liked the shy Great Dane who saved the day when Lady Fluffkins - the leader of the bad cats - sent the ninja kittens to attack them. He was kidnapped and the other dogs captured but because he was told to believe in himself he saved them.
Today I have just finished Spacerace by Malorie Blackman. I read it to Mum but had breaks of course.
It was a great book and I loved that it kept naming all the planets. It even had a map of them at the front. The story taught me why you shouldn't cheat!

George's 7
I have started the readathon and Zill and I are both sitting on the sofa with our books. Zill can read hers alone, in her head, but I am reading mine out loud to a grown up.
These are the books George is reading:
The island of blood - Darius Hinks
King Tut's golden toilet - W.C Flushing
MI High - A new generation - Keith Brumpton and Jenny Zucker
MI High - Secrets and Spies - Keith Brumpton and Jenny Zucker
The Sleeping Sword - Michael Morpurgo
The ice cream con - Jimmy Docherty
The tales of Beedle the Bard - J K Rowling

They look long and it will be hard to read them all in a week but George reads lots and he reads fast so I think he will be fine.
